VCI bags

A2

VCI plastic bags are made of PE (polyethylene) film impregnated with the anti-corrosive VCI (volatile corrosion inhibitor). They are ideally suitable for long-term metal protection against corrosion during storage and transportation.

Plastic bags with VCI are designed and manufactured to comply 100% with the specific needs of each customer.

Description

The VCI used by Inviker is nitrite-free.

This chemical compound incorporated into the bags evaporates from the plastic and travels to the most remote areas of the metal inside the packaging, creating a protective molecular layer that prevents contact with any corrosive substances such as moisture or oxygen.

VCI plastic protects metals through direct contact and vapour action during storage and transportation. VCI is extruded directly into the polyethylene film and is not applied superficially.

As a result, volatile and contact inhibitors provide long-term protection against corrosion.

What are the advantages of using VCI plastic bags?

  • Reliable long-term corrosion protection for your products.
  • Cost savings for your company.
