Desiccant bags with VCI

E1

VCI desiccant bags are anti-humidity dehydrating sacks designed to achieve a double action. On the one hand, it rapidly inhibits the corrosion process in metal products. On the other hand, it activates the drying process to absorb moisture.

These bags are used to protect the contents in any type of packaging as they ensure constant and long-term protection against corrosion and oxidation during transportation and storage.

Description

The VCI used by Inviker is nitrite-free.

This chemical compound evaporates from the plastic and travels to the most remote areas of the metal inside the packaging, creating a protective molecular layer that prevents contact with any corrosive substances such as moisture or oxygen.

VCI bags have a high corrosion protection capacity due to their purity of 80% to 90%. At the same time, an excellent drying action of the environment inside the container or packaging is activated.

They are able to maintain the ambient saturation of the VCI even after a short opening of the packaging. Suitable for reinforcing protection in combination with other Inviker VCI treated packaging materials.

For an optimum result, it is important to apply them correctly. The required quantity and absorption capacity of the dehydrating bags varies depending on factors such as transit or storage time, RH conditions and temperature changes to which the goods will be exposed.

What are VCI desiccant bags designed for?

  • They offer long-term protection against corrosion.
  • They prevent the circulation of moisture within a package by absorption and neutralisation.
  • Provide increased protection for the storage of metal parts between manufacturing stages.
  • Applications in a wide variety of sectors and industries such as export packaging, steel, metallurgy and automotive sectors, etc.
  • Used in packaging and enclosed spaces.

Available in different sizes and in form of spare bags, chains and panels.
