Embossed film

D4

Embossed film is a PE (polyethylene) plastic material with a ribbed texture, with small holes that mimic a honeycomb.

It is used to ensure anti-slip or protection from abrasion of products. Due to its properties, it is also a suitable material for the rubber industry.

Description

The different embossed structures and special formulations allow optimal control of film adhesion on various substrates and enhance the release properties.

It is also used in the rubber calendering process, where the molten rubber is wrapped with this film. Due to its surface embossing, it protects it from contamination and foreign substances. Once production is finished and due to the air between the rubber and the embossed film, the rubber unwinds from the packaging without it sticking or melting with the rubber.

What is embossed PE film designed for?

  • It is used as a separator mainly in the rubber industry.
  • Also used by manufacturers of tyres, treads, conveyor belts, rubber coated fabrics, etc.
  • It is used as an anti-slip material and for protection against abrasion for spare parts made of steel, aluminium, etc.
  • Can be used as a separator or for individual packaging of parts.

To satisfy the needs of the customers, Inviker supplies embossed film in the sizes, thickness and colour requested.
